Van Larkins

Bio

Born on 12th May, 1984, Van Larkins is a full-time solo musician and a renowned guitar teacher. Born in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, Vans stepped his bare feet in the career of music starting from Western Australia. It was quite early in his life that Van discovered his passion as well as love for music.

In the year 2002, Van moved back to Queensland. He settled in the Sunshine Coast where he started studying music –Diploma in Music and Diploma in Music Technology. Soon enough, he met Ross Hunter and formed the duet, namely “Hunter Van Larkins.” Eventually, he landed with a deal with the band “Candyrat Records.” In the year 2010, he launched his solo career in the field of music. 
Some of the most notable performances of the duet Hunter Van Larkins are playing for the opening ceremony of the Australian Legends, namely “The Black Sparrows,” releasing the album “Myriad,” and playing at the famous “Woodford Folk Festival.” The album earned them huge praise from the critics as well as renowned performers from all around the world.

After working in Australia for several years as a leading music teacher, Van took his next leap to move to Nashville. His aim was to follow the footsteps of the leading guitarist from Australia “Tommy Emmanuel.” In Nashville, Van would work as a “stagehand” and was responsible for building stages as well as assisting music productions with leading artists including Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Jimmy Buffet. 
Van gets ample opportunities to travel internationally due to his lucrative music career. Currently, he is signed with the profound Candyrat Records displaying his love for guitars made in Australia.
